€540
Pastel on paper, Winter Forest by Anna Elisabeth von Krüdener- Derfelden showcases a sublime depiction of a tranquil winter scene (end of XIX – early XX century). Measuring 29.5 x 35.7, the artwork is signed on the lower right by A. Krüdener- Dorpat. Krüdener was tutored by the renowned Tartus Hagen, Julie Schwarz, Woldemar Kruger, and Herman von Schrencki, and continued her education across Europe in places like Bern, Geneva, Paris, and Munich. Her landscapes have graced exhibitions in Switzerland, Germany, and Africa, though city views and Riiae were also a focus. A rarity in the art world, there are very few works by Krüdener available. Notably, the Viljandi Museum holds two of her watercolors showing the interiors of the Suislepa manor.
