Ilmar Kimm (1920 – 2011) was a renowned artist, best known for his work “Päevalilled” (1982). This piece, an oil on canvas, measures 81 x 70 cm and is signed by the artist himself. Kimm graduated from the I. Repin Institute of Art in 1948 and went on to teach at the Tartu State Art Institute from 1948-51 and at ERKI in Tallinn from 1952-88. He held various positions including professor and consultant.
