This 28 x 38 piece exhibits the virtuosity and refined technique that he was renowned for. As one of the most distinguished watercolourists from the 1950s to the 1970s, Karl Burman Jr. captured mesmerizing cityscapes and was an avid participant in the architecture scene. Having studied at the University of Tartu, the Tallinn Institute of Technology, and the Moscow Art Institute, his art education was enriched by his father Karl Burman senior and uncle Paul Burman. Karl Burman the Younger’s significant role as an organizer of the Union of Estonian Artists in Yaroslavl in 1943 adds to his historical contribution to the field of art.
