€2200
This exquisite oil on canvas painting, pasted on masonite, is a testament to the brilliant work of Hans Buchner (1856 Stuttgart – 1941 Munich). Created at the end of the 19th century and signed at the bottom left as “H. Buchner,” this oval piece measures 70.5 x 100. Buchner’s artistic journey led him to study at the academies in Stuttgart under Jakob Grünewald and Carl von Häberlin, as well as at the Academy in Munich under Alexander Wagner. Living in Munich since 1880, he participated in exhibitions in the “Munich glass palace” (1906) and the Munich Secession (1908). Through his life, Buchner’s works have been known for their detailed near representations, category scenes, and beautiful motives of flower.
