Vegesack, Rupprecht von (1917- 1976). Seacoast. (1938)

Oil on cardboard artwork titled “Seacoast” by the renowned Baltic-German painter Rupprecht von Vegesack, dating from 1938. The piece, measuring 50 x 68, is signed on the lower right as “R.Vegesack 76”. Born in Tartus, Rupprecht moved to Germany during his early years. He honed his painting skills in both Berlin and Rostock before settling in West Germany from 1950. Known for his realistic style in both painting and drawing, he lived until his passing in Maasholmis.
