Hugo Lepik’s “Red Roofs” (1950-60s) is an exemplary oil on canvas piece measuring 51.5 x 61.5 cm. The artist, known for deep and vigorous coloring, has captured the essence of Estonian landscapes and images of Sweden and Norway in this magnificent piece. Signed by H.Lepik on the lower right, the artwork reflects his international influence, having honed his skills in Germany, Italy, Finland, and Canada before emigrating to Sweden in 1944. Lepik’s works have been exhibited in Riga, Kaunas, Antwerp, Rome, Budapest, Stockholm, Montreal, and various cities in Sweden.
