Engraving on wood, paper by Richard Kaljo, a graduate of the “Pallas” Art School and a disciple of A.Laigo and R.Vakher. Renowned as a master of drawing, Kaljo is famed for his exquisite book illustrations and has created many notable landscapes, nudes, and various compositions. This piece, titled “Restoration” (1945), was dedicated to the restoration work in Tartu near Vanemuine and reproduced as no. 35 in the catalog of his personal exhibition in 1964.
