Original oil painting by the internationally renowned artist Paul Braig.

Born in Munich, Paul Braig is a French painter. Paul Braig studied at the Munich Academy and in 1923-1924 at the Bauhaus in Dessau under Kandinsky and Klee, then in France at the rich and powerful school of Roger Bissière. His movement – Expressionism. But according to critic Gérald Schurr, it is Expressionism that is endowed with “a certain tenderness and oriental sensuality”. To this can be added his free, skillful brushstrokes, which often made him a remarkable portraitist and a highly sought-after poster artist. He was rightly considered the Courbet of our time – modernized, that is! Working in France, Italy and other countries.
